Brother Merle

A brand straight from Canada, and more specifically from Montreal, is coming to your HawaiiSurf boutique! Brother Merle is first and foremost an artist, skateboarder and commercial illustrator. After more than 20 years of skateboarding, studying graphic design and working with multiple brands, Brother Merle decided to create his own company.

In the beginning, Brother Merle wasn 't meant to be a brand. The aim was to learn and acquire new skills in graphic design! It was after he started selling products mainly online that skate stores became interested in his brand. Little by little, collaborations developed with skateboard companies, but also with design studios and advertising agencies.

You've probably already seen his illustrations in Thrasher magazines, on the design of Bone wheels, foundation skateboards, April skateboard and many others!

You can also enjoy his design on certain decks in Tony Hawk's pro skater 1 and 2!

The original, offbeat design comes straight from his passions for South Park, Family Guy, Beavis and Butt-Head, as well as his "silly humor".
