The water-repellent properties allow moisture and water droplets to slide off the outside of the fabric without ever seeping inside the pants. To reinforce the water-repellent effect, the seams are also waterproof and sturdy in high-risk areas. The polyester fabric is certified PFC-free to minimize the harmful effects of chemical substances on both our health and the environment. Added to this are a number of details to make the pants easier to use and more comfortable to wear, such as removable elastic suspenders , an adjustable waistband with Velcro inserts, a buckle for attaching the snow guard, zipped side pockets and tightened nylon leg cuffs.
