Mahalo 153 Splitboard

Based on the Lovelife model, the new Mahalo will be the ideal partner for our riders looking to enjoy a backcountry session! Like the Lovelife, Amplid's Mahalo is a freeride gem, with new constructions making the board ultra-robust to resist all the little bumps a good rando can offer. The board is fun, playful and feels like surf on your glide!

Terrain: Splitboard Backcountry, A board that can be used as a ski for touring and climbing, then enjoyed with a powder snowboard on pure off-piste!

Flex: 5/10 balanced and above all forgiving, the most versatile for everyday use, but stiff enough for carving. Ideal for all-mountain

Shape: Tapered Directional, the spirit of a directional shape, but with the big difference that the width of the nose will be wider than the tail (on the widest points of each part). This shape is primarily intended for freeriders and, above all, powder-hungry riders! These boards are generally designed for better flotation , with a deeper tail and higher nose.

Construction/Core:
A narrow strip of Basalt fabric designed to dampen vibration and provide better control runs along the topsheet in a V-shaped configuration with contact points.
The board is very light thanks to the use of biaxial fiberglass for a perfect blend of response and fun.
The reinforcement plates under the inserts are pre-curved and placed under the bindings removing the risk of breakage and damage! The use of threaded bolts instead of rivets makes it easy to replace broken clips. Knuckel construction replaces damage-prone materials with more durable ones.

Clips : Forged aluminum hooks designed by Amplid's R&D team provide a reliable , secure connection between boards without adding weight.

Camber: Low camber for riding anywhere! The light camber adds precision and pop, while the raised tip makes powder riding easier.
Tail Early Rise for easy powder riding.

Inserts: 4x2 / 4x4 / Veiled / standard for maximum setting options.

Sole: High-density Sintered 7 Base for ultra-fast gliding in all snow conditions! It's also extremely robust, with high impact resistance. It's also easy to maintain.

Width at skid: 242mm for 148 (46-66kg rider) / 245mm for 153 (52-72kg rider)
