Situated on the border between France and Spain, the Spanish Basque country boasts some excellent skateboarding spots.Irun 's skatepark is made entirely of concrete. Divided in two, you'll find a street side and a bowl side. The curves of the bowl are spaced at different heights, with extensions, spine and pool coping on the upper part. The street side features ramps, stairs, rails, curbs and ledges. It has 3 platforms with a street zone and a pool zone!

Skateparks in Saint-Jean-de-Luz / Basque Country (64)
The beautiful town of Saint-Jean-de-Luz is home to 2 excellent skate spots! The two Luzian parks are well known to local skateboarders. One is located in the Jalday artisanal zone run by Boardriders , and the other is close to the train station in the town center, called Marañon! The Saint-Jean-de-Luz skatepark on Avenue de Chantaco is a popular spot for skateboarders in the Basque Country. Built in 2017, it is located close to the municipal stadium. The skatepark features a bowl with a depth ranging from 1.8 meters to 2.5 meters, an extension, a mini-bowl, an inclined plane, a funbox with rail, a quarter, a spine and several curbs and steps. In addition, there's a complete spot suitable for all levels of skateboarder. Access to the skatepark is free for all skaters, whatever their level, and is open every day of the week.

The Jalday skatepark in Saint-Jean-de-Luz is a popular spot for skateboarders in the region. It is located on avenue de Jalday, at the entrance to the town. Inaugurated in 2010, the bowl has a depth of 2.2 meters and an extension of 2.8 meters. It also features a street park with several modules, including rails, steps and curbs. Access to the skatepark is free for all skaters, beginners and advanced alike. The site is also accessible to rollerblades and BMX bikes. The Jalday skatepark is open every day of the week, from 9am to 8pm in summer and 9am to 6pm in winter. It is often used for local skateboarding competitions and special events.

Another great skate spot! This one is located next to Atabal in Biarritz. The skatepark is quite large, with a surface area of 1400 m², and features numerous modules, such as rails, steps, quarters and funboxes. The skatepark is primarily designed for skateboarding, but it is also possible to rollerblade or BMX. However, it is open every day of the week and offers extended opening hours during school vacations. It is also used for competitions and local events, as well as for skateboarding courses organized by professionals.

The La Barre skatepark is a popular spot for riders and especially kids! This skate spot is a 2500 m² outdoor area, renovated in 2018 to offer modern facilities adapted to all practices. It features various modules such as bowls, quarters, funboxes, rails and steps. The main bowl is quite large, with a maximum depth of 3 meters. It's open every day of the week, with free access for skaters of all levels and ages. It's generally quite popular with local skaters, but also with skateboarders passing through the area. Finally, the La Barre skatepark is a must for skateboarders looking for a wide variety of facilities for all levels of practice.

It has a surface area of 2000m² and includes several modules, such as bowls, quarters, rails, pyramids and funboxes. The main bowl is notoriously steep, with a depth of 2.5 meters.
